In the ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io decision, price does most of the work: Systeme.io is free up to 2,000 contacts with no card, then $17, $47 or $97 a month, while ClickFunnels starts at $97 a month with a 14-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Systeme.io is the better pick for beginners, solo creators and anyone on a budget. ClickFunnels earns its price if you need unlimited funnels on every plan, team workspaces, full API access or a refund window, and the budget is already there. Prices checked 24 September 2026 against both vendors’ pricing pages.

ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io: how do they compare at a glance?
Both tools do the same core job: funnels, checkout, email and courses in one account. The difference is how they charge for it.
Systeme.io gives you a small allowance of almost everything for free, then raises the caps as you pay more. ClickFunnels gives you unlimited funnels and pages from day one and charges for contacts, email volume, courses and seats instead.
| Systeme.io | ClickFunnels | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting price | $0, paid plans from $17/mo | $97/mo (Launch) |
| Free option | Free plan, no card, no time limit | 14-day trial, card required |
| Refunds | Subscriptions not refundable | 30-day money-back guarantee |

Prices checked 24 September 2026.
At 10,000 contacts or fewer, Systeme.io costs $0 to $47 a month and ClickFunnels costs $97. Past 10,000, the gap stays at $100 a month or more.
On ClickFunnels the extra money buys headroom. Funnels are uncapped, the entry plan holds 10,000 contacts to Startup’s 5,000, and you get seats for a team. If you would not use those, you are paying for capacity that sits idle.
How much do ClickFunnels and Systeme.io cost in 2026?
Both vendors price mainly by contacts, and the plan names do not line up across the two tools.
Systeme.io plans
| Plan | Monthly | Contacts | Sales funnels | Courses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2,000 | 3 | 1 |
| Startup | $17 | 5,000 | 10 | 5 |
| Webinar | $47 | 10,000 | 50 | 20 |
| Unlimited | $97 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Startup is now $17 a month. It used to be $27, and several third-party reviews date the cut to May 2025. Systeme.io’s pricing page confirms the $17 but gives no change date. Plenty of comparison pages still quote $27.
Annual billing gives you 2 months free, which works out to about $170 a year for Startup. Every plan, Free included, gets unlimited emails, unlimited file storage, 0% transaction fees and the built-in affiliate program.
ClickFunnels plans
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Contacts | Emails/mo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | $97 | $970 (≈ $81/mo) | 10K | 50K |
| Scale | $197 | $1,970 (≈ $164/mo) | 75K | 300K |
| Optimize | $297 | $2,970 (≈ $248/mo) | 150K | 750K |
| Dominate | Annual only | $5,997 | 400K | 1.2M |
Annual billing saves $194, $394 or $594 a year on the first three plans, roughly 17% off. Every plan includes unlimited funnels and pages. What rises with the price is contacts, email volume, courses (3 / 6 / 10 / 20), workspaces (1 / 5 / 10 / 20) and team members (2 / 5 / 10 / 20).
One small inconsistency: ClickFunnels’ help-centre pricing doc lists Dominate at $5,970 a year, while the live pricing page says $5,997. We go with the pricing page.
Same list size, different bill
Most pages skip this comparison. Here is the cheapest plan on each side that covers a given list size:
| Your list | Systeme.io | ClickFunnels | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 2,000 | Free · $0 | Launch · $97 | $97/mo |
| 5,000 | Startup · $17 | Launch · $97 | $80/mo |
| 10,000 | Webinar · $47 | Launch · $97 | $50/mo |
| 75,000 | Unlimited · $97 | Scale · $197 | $100/mo |
| 150,000 | Unlimited · $97 | Optimize · $297 | $200/mo |
At the entry level, the gap is $80 a month on monthly billing: $1,164 a year for ClickFunnels Launch against $204 for Systeme.io Startup, a $960 difference. Annual billing narrows the numbers ($970 against about $170) but not the ratio.
Contacts are not the only limit, though. At 10,000 contacts, ClickFunnels Launch’s 50,000 monthly emails come to five sends per contact per month. Systeme.io has no send cap at all. It caps funnels, tags and automations instead, which is covered below.
Is there a ClickFunnels discount?
Yes, one. ClickFunnels is running a new-customer offer of 3 months on the Scale plan for $99. It is not a trial: the $99 is charged at signup, and after three months the plan auto-renews at $197 a month plus tax on Scale Monthly until you cancel. The 30-day money-back guarantee still applies.
Against three months at $197, that saves $492 and works out to about $33 a month. For those three months, ClickFunnels Scale costs less than Systeme.io Unlimited at $97. From month four it costs $100 a month more. The offer page calls it limited-time but gives no end date, so check it is still live before you plan around it. If you are still deciding whether ClickFunnels fits at all, the 14-day trial is the cheaper way to find out.
Systeme.io free plan vs ClickFunnels free trial: which is the better test?
Systeme.io’s free plan is permanent and capped. ClickFunnels’ trial is the full paid plan for 14 days, and it needs a card.
On Free you get 1 tag, 1 automation rule, 1 workflow and 1 email campaign, so you cannot separate leads from buyers or run more than one sequence. Three funnels and 15 funnel steps fill up fast once you add an upsell. Evergreen webinars are not included at all.
Then there is the revenue cap. Systeme.io’s terms limit Free accounts to $10,000 in lifetime sales. Near the limit you get a dashboard notice and 3 days to upgrade. After that, your payment pages stop accepting new sales. The account is not upgraded or charged automatically.
ClickFunnels’ trial works the other way round. You get everything on your plan, but the clock is running: the card is charged on day 14 unless you cancel, and the 30-day guarantee after that stretches the risk-free window to 44 days. We covered how the ClickFunnels 14-day trial and 44-day window work in detail.
If you have no offer yet, or no card you want to put down, the free plan costs nothing to leave open. If you have an offer and traffic ready, the ClickFunnels trial shows you the full product in two weeks.

How do the features compare?
Most of Systeme.io’s features exist on every plan, including Free. What changes is how many of each you get. These are the caps from its plan comparison table:
| Systeme.io limit | Free | Startup | Webinar | Unlimited |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sales funnels | 3 | 10 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Funnel steps | 15 | 50 | 300 | Unlimited |
| A/B tests | 1 | 10 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Upsells and order bumps | 1 | 10 | 100 | Unlimited |
| Coupons | 1 | 10 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Tags | 1 | 10 | 100 | Unlimited |
| Automation rules | 1 | 10 | 100 | Unlimited |
| Workflows | 1 | 5 | 20 | Unlimited |
| Email campaigns | 1 | 10 | 100 | Unlimited |
| Evergreen webinars | 0 | 0 | 10 | Unlimited |
| Custom domains | 1 | 3 | 10 | Unlimited |
ClickFunnels does the opposite, and that is the biggest structural difference between the two: funnels and pages are unlimited on every plan.
Funnel builder and A/B testing
On Systeme.io Startup you get 10 sales funnels and 50 funnel steps according to the plan comparison table. Webinar raises that to 50 funnels and 300 steps.
ClickFunnels gives you unlimited funnels and pages on every plan, plus A/B tests on funnels or email campaigns on all plans. Custom domains are capped at 5 on Launch and unlimited from Scale up. The custom code editor starts on Scale.
The Systeme.io caps matter if you run many small funnels, say one per lead magnet. With two or three funnels you will probably never hit them.
Email marketing and automation
Both tools have email built in. Several comparisons still say ClickFunnels needs an external SMTP provider. That is not true of ClickFunnels 2.0: Launch includes 50,000 emails a month, Scale 300,000, Optimize 750,000 and Dominate 1.2 million.
Systeme.io’s “unlimited emails” is true on every plan, including Free. The limit you will feel first is automation, not volume. Startup gives you 10 tags, 10 automation rules and 5 workflows. That covers a welcome sequence and a buyer sequence, but not a heavily segmented list. Webinar raises those to 100 / 100 / 20.
Courses and communities
Those are Systeme.io’s course numbers. Free caps you at 500 students, and paid plans have no student cap.
ClickFunnels allows 3 courses on Launch, 6 on Scale, 10 on Optimize and 20 on Dominate. It has no native graded quizzes: surveys exist, but not scored quizzes, and there is an open feature request for it. Course certificates arrived in March 2026. Uploaded videos can be up to 3,000 MB per file.
If your course depends on graded quizzes, Systeme.io is the better fit today, and it is cheaper per course. Startup’s 5 courses cost $17 a month. ClickFunnels’ 3 cost $97.
Webinars
Systeme.io includes evergreen webinars only from the Webinar plan up: 10 on Webinar at $47, unlimited on Unlimited. Free and Startup get none.
We have not verified a native webinar tool on ClickFunnels, so we are not scoring it either way. If evergreen webinars are central to your offer, confirm it inside the trial before you commit.
Affiliate programs
Systeme.io includes its affiliate program on every plan, Free included, so you can recruit affiliates for your own product from day one.
On ClickFunnels, the Affiliate Center is on Optimize and Dominate only, according to its help-centre pricing doc. That puts running your own affiliate program at $297 a month or more.
Teams, API and extras
ClickFunnels is clearer on team use. Workspaces go 1 / 5 / 10 / 20 by plan and team members 2 / 5 / 10 / 20. Webhooks and full API access start on Scale. Each plan also carries an AI tools allowance of 1M, 2M, 5M or 10M words.
Systeme.io’s team and API details did not appear in the pricing data we verified, so we are not scoring them. What it does list: 24/7 email support, free migration on the Unlimited plan only, and a wide set of payment processors: Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Razorpay, Flutterwave, Mercado Pago and Xendit.
Payments and transaction fees
Neither tool takes a platform cut. Systeme.io charges 0% on every plan, and you pay only your processor’s fees. ClickFunnels adds no platform fee either, and you can connect Stripe directly.
The fees appear if you use ClickFunnels’ Payments AI. Its base fee matches Stripe’s standard 2.9% + $0.30, then it adds 0.5% on recurring (subscription) charges and 1% per transaction when Stripe, PayPal, Coinbase or Klarna is routed through it. On a $100 sale:
| Payment setup | Fee on a $100 sale | Difference |
|---|---|---|
| Systeme.io + Stripe | $3.20 | baseline |
| ClickFunnels + Stripe, connected directly | $3.20 | $0 |
| ClickFunnels Payments AI, recurring charge | $3.70 | +$0.50 |
| ClickFunnels, Stripe routed through Payments AI | $4.20 | +$1.00 |
On small volumes the difference is noise. On $20,000 a month of subscription sales, the 0.5% is $100 a month, which is the whole price gap between Systeme.io Unlimited and ClickFunnels Scale.
What does the fine print say about refunds and upgrades?
Few buyers read the terms, and here they change who carries the risk. ClickFunnels costs more but offers a refund. Systeme.io costs less, but once you pay for a plan, that money is gone.
Systeme.io, from its terms and conditions and help pages:
- No refunds. The terms say its subscription plans are not refundable. Some third-party posts claim a 30-day money-back guarantee. The official terms say otherwise, and they win.
- Free plan revenue cap. $10,000 in lifetime sales, then 3 days to upgrade before payment pages stop taking new sales.
- Auto-upgrade on paid plans. Go over your plan’s limits and you get an email and 3 days to cut back. After that, the subscription is upgraded and billed at the new plan’s price.
- Prices can change at any time, but an order is billed at the price stated when you placed it.
- Cancelling. Your data stays accessible on the Free plan while you are within 2,000 contacts. Contacts above that are archived, not deleted. Downgrades go through support.
- Upgrading. By card, the unused time on your current plan becomes a free trial before the new plan bills. By PayPal, you pay full price immediately.
ClickFunnels, from its pricing page, help centre and offer page:
- Card required for the trial, charged on day 14 unless you cancel.
- 30-day money-back guarantee after the first charge, so 44 days risk-free in total.
- The $99 Scale offer skips the trial and renews at $197 a month plus tax.
- Payments AI fees apply only if you route payments through it.
What do other ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io comparisons get wrong?
We checked the eight pages ranking for this search on 24 September 2026. Most carry stale prices, and the same few errors repeat:
"ClickFunnels needs an external SMTP for email"
ClickFunnels 2.0 has built-in email: 50K to 1.2M sends a month.
"ClickFunnels starts at $127" or "$147"
Launch is $97/mo. Scale is $197, Optimize $297.
"Systeme.io Startup costs $27"
It is $17/mo on the current pricing page.
"Systeme.io has a 30-day money-back guarantee"
Its terms say subscription plans are not refundable.
"Unlimited emails on Systeme.io's paid plans"
Unlimited on every plan, Free included.
"ClickFunnels has a 30-day free trial"
The trial is 14 days. The 30 is the money-back guarantee.
The price errors do the most damage. A reader comparing a $147 ClickFunnels against a $27 Systeme.io, with SMTP costs added to ClickFunnels, gets a very different answer from someone comparing the real $97 against $17.
Should you pick ClickFunnels or Systeme.io?
Both links on this page pay us a commission, so we have no reason to favor one. The split below follows the numbers above.
Pick Systeme.io if…

- Your list is under 10,000 contacts. You pay $0, $17 or $47 where ClickFunnels charges $97.

- You want your own affiliate program without paying $297 a month for it.
- You email a lot. Sends are unlimited on every plan.
Systeme.io is not for you if you need a refund window on a paid plan, if you run dozens of funnels on a small budget (Startup’s table cap is 10), or if you need multiple seats and workspaces spelled out on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions
Is Systeme.io better than ClickFunnels?
On price, yes, at every list size: free up to 2,000 contacts, then $17 to $97 a month against ClickFunnels' $97 to $297. ClickFunnels is the better fit for teams, for anyone who needs full API access, and for buyers who want a 30-day money-back guarantee, which Systeme.io's terms do not offer.
Is Systeme.io really free, and what are the limits?
Yes. No card and no expiry. The Free plan gives you 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 15 funnel steps, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 tag, 1 automation rule, 1 workflow and no evergreen webinars. It stops taking new sales after $10,000 in lifetime revenue unless you upgrade.
Is Systeme.io better for beginners than ClickFunnels?
On cost and risk, yes. You can build and sell on the free plan with no card and no deadline, while ClickFunnels bills $97 a month from day 14. We have not published a hands-on editor test yet, so this answer is about money, not about which builder feels easier.
Does ClickFunnels have a free plan, or only a trial?
Only a trial. It runs 14 days, needs a credit card at signup, and charges the card on day 14 unless you cancel. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies after the first charge.
Does ClickFunnels have built-in email, or do I need an SMTP provider?
Email is built in. No external SMTP is needed. Launch includes 50,000 emails a month, Scale 300,000, Optimize 750,000 and Dominate 1.2 million.
Can I move from ClickFunnels to Systeme.io, or back?
Yes. Systeme.io offers free migration on its Unlimited plan only. Export anything you want to keep before cancelling either tool. On a ClickFunnels trial, cancel before day 14 to avoid the first charge; our ClickFunnels trial guide covers the timing. If you cancel Systeme.io, your data stays on the Free plan while you are within 2,000 contacts, and contacts above that are archived rather than deleted.
Does Systeme.io offer refunds or a money-back guarantee?
No. Its terms say subscription plans are not refundable, whatever some third-party reviews claim. Use the free plan as your trial before you pay.
Why is ClickFunnels so much more expensive than Systeme.io?
The plans are built differently. ClickFunnels' $97 buys 10,000 contacts, unlimited funnels and pages, 2 team seats and a refund window. Systeme.io's $17 buys 5,000 contacts with caps on funnels, tags and automations. If you would not use what ClickFunnels adds, the extra $80 a month buys you nothing.
Which is better for selling online courses?
For most solo course creators, Systeme.io. It has quizzes per module, unlimited students on paid plans, and 5 courses for $17 a month. ClickFunnels offers 3 courses on Launch at $97, no graded quizzes, and course certificates since March 2026.
Does either one charge transaction fees?
Neither adds a platform fee. Systeme.io is 0% on every plan. ClickFunnels adds nothing on a direct Stripe connection, but Payments AI adds 0.5% on recurring charges and 1% when a gateway is routed through it. Your processor's own fees apply on both.
The bottom line
The ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io question is mostly a budget question. Under 10,000 contacts, Systeme.io costs $0 to $47 a month where ClickFunnels costs $97, and it gives you unlimited emails, 0% transaction fees and an affiliate program on every plan. For most beginners and solo sellers, that settles it.
ClickFunnels is worth its price for teams, for anyone who needs the API, and for buyers who want a 30-day guarantee behind a paid plan. Go in knowing that Systeme.io’s paid plans are non-refundable, so start on its free plan and upgrade only when a cap stops you.
