ClickFunnels Review 2026: Is It Worth It After the AI Update?

Our ClickFunnels review for 2026 comes down to one line: it’s worth the money if you sell your own offer and will use the whole stack, and it isn’t if you’re on a tight budget or building a course-first business. Plans run from Launch at $97 a month to Dominate at $5,997 a year (the $147 Basic and $297 Funnel Hacker plans in older reviews are retired), and through our link you get a 14-day free trial, card required, followed by a 30-day money-back guarantee. The big autumn news is that Build with AI and the ClickFunnels MCP server came out of beta on 18 September 2026, and everything below was checked 6 October 2026.

We may earn a commission if you sign up through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. This does not affect our ratings (see how we test).

ClickFunnels review at a glance: pros and cons

Short version: ClickFunnels is a capable all-in-one sales platform with a premium price and a culture that sells hard. The lists below come from its pricing page, checkout pages, help centre and changelog as they stood on 6 October 2026.

What’s good

Unlimited funnels and pages on every plan Email, CRM, courses and checkout on one bill Build with AI, on in every workspace MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT $0 platform fee on direct Stripe sales

What’s not

$97/mo floor, $197 for Scale Card required for the trial No course quizzes found Annual plans: credit, not refund Upsell-heavy checkout

Best for: coaches, consultants, info-product sellers and service businesses with an offer that already sells, who want pages, email, CRM and checkout in one place.

Skip it if: $97 a month is a stretch, your course needs graded quizzes, or you have nothing to sell yet.

What is ClickFunnels in 2026?

ClickFunnels is a hosted platform for building sales funnels and selling through them. Russell Brunson and Todd Dickerson founded it in October 2014, and the company is based in Eagle, Idaho. The version you can buy today is ClickFunnels 2.0, launched in 2022.

One account covers funnels and landing pages, a website and blog, email marketing, a CRM, courses, checkout with order bumps, and workflow automation. Funnels and pages are unlimited on every plan. What you pay for is capacity: contacts, emails per month, workspaces, team seats and courses.

That’s why so many ClickFunnels reviews read oddly: about half of the pages ranking for this search quote plans you can’t buy.

What older reviews sayWhat's true on 6 Oct 2026

"Basic is $97 with 20 funnels and 100 pages"

Launch is $97, and funnels and pages are unlimited on every plan.

"Funnel Hacker or Etison Suite at $297"

Those are retired ClickFunnels Classic plans. Today's $297 plan is Optimize.

"Startup $97 / Pro $297"

That two-tier setup is gone. There are four plans: Launch, Scale, Optimize, Dominate.

"Dominate costs $497 a month"

Dominate is $5,997 a year and can't be billed monthly.

If a review doesn’t name Launch, Scale, Optimize and Dominate, it was written about a product you can no longer buy.

What’s new in ClickFunnels? The September 2026 update

None of the eight ranking reviews we checked mention any of this. On 18 September 2026, ClickFunnels took Build with AI and its MCP server out of beta, launched an SDK and custom HTML pages, and added selling through Whop.

Hand-drawn toolbox with four tools lifted out, labelling what ClickFunnels shipped on 18 September 2026: Build with AI out of beta and on in every workspace, an MCP server to connect Claude or ChatGPT, an SDK plus custom HTML pages for pages hosted anywhere, and Sell with Whop, whose sales do not count in funnel revenue.
On 18 September 2026 ClickFunnels took Build with AI and its MCP server out of beta, launched an SDK and custom HTML pages, and added selling through Whop.

Build with AI is out of beta

Build with AI started in June 2026 as “ClickFunnels AI”, a Labs (beta) feature. ClickFunnels’ changelog describes the finished version plainly: “Describe the funnel you want and it builds it: creates the funnel and its steps, designs and generates the pages, and writes the copy.”

It’s switched on automatically in every workspace, with no opt-in. Each plan also lists an AI word allowance: 1 million words on Launch, 2 million on Scale, 5 million on Optimize and 10 million on Dominate.

Treat what it builds as a fast first draft that still needs your offer and your edits before it sells anything.

The MCP server: run ClickFunnels from Claude or ChatGPT

MCP is a standard that lets an AI assistant work inside another app. You link Claude, ChatGPT or any other MCP client over a secure, OAuth-authorised connection, then “manage contacts, funnels, courses, email, store and more through natural conversation”. ClickFunnels’ capability catalog lists 16 capability categories and 102 resources.

You choose which workspaces the assistant can reach, and whether it gets full access, read-only access, or access chosen by category. The help centre adds two caveats. One access level covers every workspace you grant, so you can’t give it full access in one workspace and read-only in another on the same connection. And “adding a custom connector may require a paid plan on your AI client”, though ClickFunnels states no plan restriction on its own side.

SDK and custom HTML pages

The SDK lets you “bring a page you host anywhere” (your own domain, Netlify, Vercel) and wire it to ClickFunnels with a page token, a script and form-field attributes. Custom HTML pages work the other way round: “Paste a complete HTML document and it goes live on your ClickFunnels domain.”

Either way, the page keeps tracking, opt-ins still create contacts, and you can still sell with products, order bumps and one-click offers. Tax, discount and shipping maths run server-side. If the page editor has ever held you back, this gets you out of it. ClickFunnels hasn’t said which plans get the SDK, so check before you build around it.

Sell with Whop

You can now drop a Whop Checkout element onto any funnel step and sync those sales back with an External Purchases webhook. ClickFunnels’ own announcement names two catches: “Whop purchases don’t move your funnel’s sales and revenue numbers”, and “Whop allows one ClickFunnels-connected business per Whop account”. If you judge funnels by their revenue figures, you’ll have to tally Whop sales somewhere else.

So is ClickFunnels still relevant in 2026? Yes. It shipped more between June and September than most ranking reviews have noticed. The prices stayed put, though: the AI and MCP work saves build time, and the cheapest plan is still $97 a month.

Which ClickFunnels features matter, and what are the limits?

Funnel and page builder

Funnels and pages are unlimited on every ClickFunnels plan, so you never pay per page. The upgrade triggers sit elsewhere. Launch doesn’t include webhooks, full API access or the custom code editor; those start on Scale. If you need to connect other software or paste in custom code, budget for $197 a month from day one.

Email and CRM

Email and the CRM are built in, with sends and contacts capped by plan rather than billed per email. Launch covers 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails a month. Scale covers 75,000 and 300,000, Optimize 150,000 and 750,000, Dominate 400,000 and 1.2 million. Your list size decides your plan more than any feature does.

Courses

You get 3, 6, 10 or 20 courses depending on plan. Completion certificates exist: if you switch them on, students who finish a course get a certificate to view or download. We found no quiz or assessment feature in ClickFunnels’ course settings. Video uploads max out at 3,000 MB (3 GB) per file, and YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia and Voomly embeds work too.

If graded quizzes are central to what you teach, a course-first platform will serve you better.

Checkout and payments

This is where most reviews get it wrong. Connect your own Stripe account and ClickFunnels adds nothing. Its help centre says “ClickFunnels does not charge extra for using Stripe”, and you can sell subscriptions that way. You pay Stripe’s 2.9% + $0.30, so a $100 one-off sale costs $3.20 in fees, none of it to ClickFunnels.

Payments AI, ClickFunnels’ own payments layer, is where the extra percentages live:

Your own StripeConnected directly Payments AIClickFunnels' payments layer
Base rate Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 2.9% + $0.30
Subscriptions Supported, no ClickFunnels fee +0.5% per recurring transaction
Extras None Automation Rules 0.5%; Stripe, PayPal, Coinbase or Klarna routed through it +1%
PayPal Not available Available

The practical rule: if you don’t need PayPal, connect Stripe directly and keep the extra 0.5% to 1%.

How much does ClickFunnels cost in 2026?

ClickFunnels has four plans. Three bill monthly at $97, $197 and $297; Dominate is annual only at $5,997. Annual billing on the first three works out to about 17% off, or 12 months for the price of 10.

Launch also caps you at 5 custom domains (the rest are unlimited). Support is Standard on Launch, “Priority + Live Chat” on Scale and Optimize, and VIP on Dominate.

What a full year costs, cheapest first: Launch annual $970, Launch monthly $1,164, Scale through the $99 offer $1,872, Scale annual $1,970, Scale monthly $2,364, Optimize annual $2,970, Optimize monthly $3,564, and Dominate $5,997.

Callouts mark Launch annual as the cheapest year overall, the $99 offer as the cheapest year of Scale, and Dominate as annual only.
Launch on annual billing is the cheapest year of ClickFunnels at $970; the $99 offer is the cheapest year of Scale at $1,872; Dominate is $5,997 and annual only.

One thing to know before you click: our trial link opens on Scale Monthly, which bills $197 a month once the trial ends. If you want Launch at $97, pick it on the checkout. The same page offers it as “$97/mo after your free 14-day trial”.

If you already know you need Scale, there’s a cheaper way in. New customers can get 3 months of Scale for $99, which the offer page puts at “Save $492”. There’s no trial on this path: you pay $99 on day one, then $197 a month plus tax until you cancel. The 30-day money-back guarantee still applies, and the page calls it a “limited-time offer”. It’s the cheapest year of Scale at $1,872. It’s also $902 more than Launch annual, so it only saves money if you need Scale’s limits. We cover every real way to pay less for ClickFunnels separately, and the upgrade maths by list size is in our full plan-by-plan pricing breakdown.

How does the ClickFunnels free trial work?

Through our link, the ClickFunnels free trial is 14 days. The checkout reads “Start Your 14-Day Free Trial Now!” and “14 days free from today”, with “$0 due today”. Some of ClickFunnels’ own pricing-page plan buttons currently lead to a 7-day checkout instead, so check the day count on the checkout before you enter a card.

The terms of service limit the trial to new subscribers. Here’s how it runs on our link:

  1. Pick your plan on the checkout

It opens on Scale Monthly ($197/mo after the trial). Switch to Launch for $97.

  2. Add a card

"$0 due today". The card is charged when the trial ends.

  3. Build for 14 days

On the plan you picked, with Build with AI switched on.

  4. Day 14: first charge

    Unless you cancelled first.

  5. 30-day money-back guarantee

It starts after the trial ends, which gives you 44 days in total on this path.

Day 14 and day 44 are the two dates to put in your calendar. Here’s more on how the free trial and refund window work.

Hand-drawn row of desk-calendar pages showing the ClickFunnels trial through our link: day 1 with $0 due today and a card on file, days 1 to 14 to build, the first charge on day 14 at $97 for Launch or $197 for Scale, then a 30-day money-back window ending at the day 44 refund deadline. A note says to check the day count at checkout.
Through our link the trial runs 14 days with $0 due today, then the 30-day money-back guarantee takes you to day 44.

The checkout says you can cancel “anytime, hassle-free” from your dashboard or by emailing support. The terms of service add two rules:

  • Monthly plans: “at least ten (10) days’ notice of cancellation by email”. Don’t leave it to the night before a renewal.
  • Annual plans: cancel mid-year and “you will not be entitled to a refund but we will provide you with a credit towards other ClickFunnels’ subscription services.”
! The guarantee isn't in the terms of service. The terms say "All sales are deemed final", apart from hard goods. The 30-day guarantee lives on the pricing page, the checkout and in the help centre, so screenshot it when you sign up.

If you need a break rather than an exit, there’s a pause plan at $17 a month that keeps your funnels, pages and data.

ClickFunnels complaints: what do users actually say?

Ratings at a glance

The averages are strong. ClickFunnels scores 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 2,487 reviews, 4.5 on Capterra from 666 reviews, and about 4.6 on G2. The Better Business Bureau rates it A+; it has been accredited since December 2018, with 18 complaints closed in the last three years.

Don’t stop at the average. 7% of those Trustpilot reviews are one-star, against 4% four-star and 1% each for three and two stars. People who dislike ClickFunnels tend to dislike it a lot. ClickFunnels replies to reviews, and recent five-star ones name individual support agents.

Hand-drawn clipboard of ClickFunnels ratings and complaints: Trustpilot 4.7 with 7% one-star reviews, Capterra 4.5 from 666 reviews, BBB A+. Ticked as still true: price, bugs and slowdowns, upsell-heavy checkout, annual plans give credit not refunds. Crossed out as out of date: separate email tool, 20-funnel cap, retired $147 and $297 plans.
ClickFunnels rates 4.7 on Trustpilot with 7% one-star reviews; price, bugs, upsells and annual refunds are still fair complaints, while the email, funnel-cap and old-plan ones are out of date.

Complaints that still hold

  • Price. $97 a month is the floor. Review write-ups that sum up Reddit sentiment keep naming cheaper tools such as Systeme.io and GoHighLevel.
  • Learning curve. Capterra reviewers rate ease of use 4.3 out of 5 and list the learning curve among the cons.
  • Bugs and slowdowns. Both Capterra and G2 reviewers name them.
  • Upsells. The culture sells hard, and the product does too. The Scale Monthly checkout itself offers funnel templates marked down from $197 to $47 as a one-time offer.
  • A card for the trial. There’s no card-free way in.
  • Annual refunds. After the 30-day guarantee, a mid-year cancellation gets you credit, not cash.

Complaints that are out of date

  • “You need a separate email tool.” That’s a ClickFunnels 1.0-era complaint that still shows up in a 2022 Capterra review. Email is built into every current plan.
  • “You pay per email.” Sends are capped by plan instead.
  • “20-funnel cap.” Funnels are unlimited on every plan.
  • “$147 and $297 plans.” Basic and Funnel Hacker are retired.

Is ClickFunnels legit or a scam?

It’s legit: a software company trading since 2014, with an A+ BBB rating and thousands of public reviews. The “scam” feeling people describe comes from hard-selling marketing (upsells and one-time offers) and from trials that turned into paid plans before the user noticed. Read the checkout and put the charge date in your calendar, and you avoid both.

Who should use ClickFunnels, and who should skip it?

Use it if:

  • You sell your own offer (coaching, an info product, a service) and will run email, CRM and checkout in one place instead of stitching three tools together.
  • You need team seats, webhooks or the API. That means Scale: 5 workspaces, 5 team members, $197 a month.
  • You want AI to draft whole funnels, or you’d like to run contacts, funnels and email from Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server.

Skip it if:

  • $97 a month is a stretch. Systeme.io is a cheaper alternative with a free plan; our ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io comparison covers where each one wins.
  • Your course depends on graded quizzes. We found none in ClickFunnels’ course settings.
  • You won’t put a card down to try software.
  • You don’t have an offer yet. The trial will run out while you’re still deciding what to sell.

If you’re new and want a guided start, the One Funnel Away Challenge is the training most beginners pair with the trial. Is ClickFunnels worth it in 2026? Our verdict

Our ClickFunnels review says yes, for the right buyer. If you have an offer that sells and you’ll actually use pages, email, CRM, courses and checkout together, $97 to $197 a month buys one bill instead of several, and the September releases make it faster to build and easier to automate. If you’re paying for a funnel builder in the hope that it will create a business, it won’t, at any price.

Here’s how to decide:

  • Not sure it fits: take the 14-day trial through our link, switch to Launch on the checkout, and build one real funnel before day 14.
  • You know you need Scale: take the $99 offer. Year one costs $1,872.
  • Launch fits and a funnel is working: move to annual billing at $970 a year. Remember that annual plans are credit-only if you cancel after the guarantee.
  • Money is tight or you have no card to spare: start on Systeme.io’s free plan and come back when $97 a month is easy.

Frequently asked questions

Is ClickFunnels worth it in 2026?

It is if you sell your own offer and will use the built-in email, CRM, courses and checkout. It isn't if $97 a month is a stretch, you need graded course quizzes, or you don't have an offer yet. The 14-day trial is the cheapest way to find out.

Is ClickFunnels legit, or is it a scam?

It's legit. ClickFunnels was founded in 2014, holds an A+ BBB rating and scores 4.7 on Trustpilot from 2,487 reviews. Most "scam" complaints are about hard-selling marketing and trials that turned into paid plans.

How much does ClickFunnels cost per month?

Launch is $97 a month, Scale $197 and Optimize $297. Dominate is $5,997 a year, annual only. Annual billing saves about 17%, and new customers can get 3 months of Scale for $99. Full details are in every ClickFunnels plan and price.

Does ClickFunnels have a free trial?

Yes. Through our link it's 14 days with $0 due today, a card required, and the 30-day money-back guarantee after the trial ends. Check the day count on the checkout before you enter your card. More on how the free trial and refund window work.

Is ClickFunnels good for beginners?

Usable, with a learning curve. Build with AI now drafts a full funnel from a description, which helps. If you have no offer yet, start with training such as the One Funnel Away Challenge.

Is ClickFunnels still relevant in 2026?

Yes. On 18 September 2026 it took Build with AI and its MCP server out of beta, launched an SDK and custom HTML pages, and added selling through Whop.

What are the most common ClickFunnels complaints?

Price, the learning curve, bugs and slowdowns, upsells, the card required for the trial, and annual plans that give credit rather than a refund after the guarantee. Complaints about a separate email tool or a 20-funnel cap are out of date.

Can I cancel ClickFunnels and get a refund?

Yes, from your dashboard or by emailing support, with at least ten days' notice on monthly plans. The 30-day money-back guarantee runs after the trial ends. After that, an annual plan cancelled mid-year gets you credit toward other ClickFunnels services instead of a refund.

Does ClickFunnels take a cut of my sales?

No. Connect Stripe directly and you pay only Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30, subscriptions included. Payments AI adds 0.5% on recurring payments and 1% when Stripe, PayPal, Coinbase or Klarna is routed through it. PayPal is only available through Payments AI.

What is the ClickFunnels MCP server?

A secure, OAuth-authorised connection that lets Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client manage your ClickFunnels account through conversation. You choose the workspaces and the access level. Your AI client may need a paid plan to add the connector.

The bottom line

ClickFunnels is a good platform at a premium price. The September 2026 releases added real capability and left the prices where they were. If you have an offer and you’ll use the whole stack, it earns its $97 to $197 a month. If you’re still working out what to sell, keep your money.
