In ClickFunnels vs GoHighLevel, pick ClickFunnels if you sell your own course, coaching or digital products, and GoHighLevel if you run an agency or a local service business that lives on texts, bookings and client accounts. Both start at $97 a month ($970 a year), but only ClickFunnels’ price includes your email: Launch covers 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails a month, while GoHighLevel’s $97 Starter plan bills $0.675 per 1,000 emails, plus texts per segment, phone numbers and AI, all drawn from a wallet that auto-recharges your card. Which should you pick: ClickFunnels or GoHighLevel?
Pick by business model. Both tools build funnels and send email, but each was built for a different buyer, and that shapes your bill more than any feature list.
Course creators, coaches and digital-product sellers: ClickFunnels. You sell your own offer to your own list. Launch gives you unlimited funnels, checkout, 3 courses, 3 communities and email for 10,000 contacts for one flat $97. You probably don’t need sub-accounts or a business phone line, so on GoHighLevel you’d be paying for an agency toolkit you leave idle.
Info-product and ecommerce launchers: ClickFunnels. If your launches run on sales pages, order forms and email sequences, a funnel-first tool is the shorter path. Launch includes 1 store, Scale includes 5, and ClickFunnels takes no cut of your sales: “You’ll keep every penny you make,” says its pricing FAQ.
Selling your own offer? Start the 14-day ClickFunnels trial →
Marketing agencies with client accounts: GoHighLevel. GoHighLevel wins this one outright. Even the $97 Starter plan includes 3 sub-accounts, the $297 Unlimited plan removes the cap, and the higher plans let you rebill clients for their email and phone usage. ClickFunnels’ pricing page lists no white label, and its Agency App needs an Agency Plan that isn’t publicly priced.
Local service businesses: GoHighLevel. Dentists, contractors, salons: anyone whose sales start with a text, a booked slot and a review request. GoHighLevel puts booking calendars, texting, calling and reputation management on every plan. ClickFunnels’ pricing page lists no SMS, calling or review-management features, and its calendars start on Scale at $197.
No budget, or no card on hand: neither, yet. ClickFunnels needs a payment method for its trial, and GoHighLevel starts billing automatically when its trial ends. If you want to test whether funnels work for you before paying anything, look at Systeme.io’s free plan and prices and our ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io comparison first.
ClickFunnels vs GoHighLevel: how do they compare at a glance?
Put the two $97 plans side by side and the trade becomes obvious. ClickFunnels bundles fewer things into a fixed price. GoHighLevel bundles more things and meters the ones that cost it money to deliver.
Checked 14 October 2026 against both pricing pages, HighLevel’s help centre and HighLevel’s Terms of Service.
Both pricing models are fair to the right buyer. If you only send email, the meter is what matters, and ClickFunnels’ flat price wins up to 50,000 emails a month. If you text clients all day and manage accounts for other businesses, GoHighLevel’s bundle is worth the meter.
What is each platform built for?
ClickFunnels: a sales platform for your own offers
ClickFunnels was founded in 2014 by Russell Brunson and Todd Dickerson to do one job: turn visitors into buyers. Funnels, order forms, a store, courses, communities and email all live in one account. Its AI tools are part of the package too: on 18 September 2026, Build with AI and the ClickFunnels MCP Server came out of beta.
If you searched “ClickFunnels 2.0 vs GoHighLevel”, this is the same comparison. “ClickFunnels 2.0” is what many people still call today’s ClickFunnels. The old Startup and Pro plans that some comparison pages still quote no longer exist; there are four current tiers, covered below and in our full ClickFunnels review.
Not for: anyone whose business depends on texting customers, taking phone calls in the same inbox or collecting reviews. The pricing page lists none of those.
GoHighLevel: a CRM and agency platform
GoHighLevel (the company calls itself HighLevel) starts from the customer record, not the sales page. Its pricing page lists these as core features on every plan:
The asterisks are HighLevel’s own: “Usage based charges apply.” The higher plans add unlimited sub-accounts, rebilling and SaaS mode, which lets an agency resell the platform to its clients.
Not for: a solo creator who will never open the pipelines, texting or reputation tabs. You would pay the same $97 and use a fraction of it.
How much do ClickFunnels and GoHighLevel really cost each month?
The entry tiers match to the dollar: $97 a month, or $970 a year on annual billing. Above that, the ladders split. ClickFunnels charges more as your list and email volume grow. GoHighLevel charges more as you add client accounts, and meters usage on every plan.
The plans side by side
ClickFunnels (pricing page, checked 14 October 2026):
- Launch: $97/mo or $970/yr (≈ $81/mo). 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails a month, 1 workspace, 2 team members, 3 courses, no calendars.
- Scale: $197/mo or $1,970/yr (≈ $164/mo). 75,000 contacts, 300,000 emails, 5 workspaces, 5 team members, 6 courses, 5 calendars, webhooks and full API.
- Optimize: $297/mo or $2,970/yr (≈ $248/mo). 150,000 contacts, 750,000 emails, 10 workspaces, 10 courses, 10 calendars.
- Dominate: $5,997/yr, annual billing only. 400,000 contacts, 1.2 million emails, 20 workspaces, 20 courses.
GoHighLevel (HighLevel pricing page, checked 14 October 2026):
- Starter: $97/mo or $970/yr. 3 sub-accounts, unlimited users and contacts.
- Unlimited: $297/mo or $2,970/yr. Unlimited sub-accounts, rebill phone and email to clients with no markup.
- Agency Pro: $497/mo or $4,970/yr. SaaS mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with markup. Some older comparisons still call this tier “SaaS Pro”.
- Enterprise: custom pricing.
Full limits for each tier are in every ClickFunnels plan and its limits.
What GoHighLevel’s $97 leaves out
These are the usage charges that sit on top of any GoHighLevel plan, from HighLevel’s own help articles, checked 14 October 2026:
- Email: $0.675 per 1,000, on all plans. Incoming and outgoing messages (To, CC and BCC) are both charged. Email verification is $2.50 per 1,000 checks.
- Texts (US): $0.00747 per segment, outbound and inbound, plus a carrier fee of $0.0035 to $0.0050 per outbound message.
- Phone numbers: $1.15 a month local, $2.15 toll-free. Calls cost $0.0166 a minute outbound and $0.01165 inbound.
- US texting registration (A2P 10DLC): $22.50 one-time, plus a monthly campaign fee (up to $2.10 for sole proprietors, $1.50 to $10.50 on the Low Volume tier).
- AI: Content AI at $0.0945 per 1,000 words and $0.063 per image, or the AI Employee plans at $50 or $97 a month per sub-account.
- Premium workflow actions: 100 free executions per sub-account for life, then $0.01 each, per HighLevel’s help centre.
Three real-world bills
This is the part most ClickFunnels vs GoHighLevel pages skip: what each platform costs for a real business. Our arithmetic from the official rates above assumes US recipients, single-segment texts (160 characters or fewer), no AI, no premium workflow actions, and leaves payment processor fees out on both sides. The figures are illustrative, not quotes.
| Scenario | ClickFunnels | GoHighLevel Starter |
|---|---|---|
| A. Solo course seller: 5,000 contacts, 40,000 emails a month | Launch: $97/mo ($970/yr annual) | $97 + $27 email = $124/mo ($1,294/yr annual) |
| B. Growing list: 15,000 contacts, 120,000 emails a month | Over Launch's caps, so Scale: $197/mo ($1,970/yr annual) | $97 + $81 email = $178/mo ($1,942/yr annual) |
| C. Local service business: 2,000 contacts, 10,000 emails, 1,000 texts, 1 local number, a booking calendar | Calendars need Scale: $197/mo, plus a separate texting tool | $97 + $6.75 email + $7.47 texts + $3.50 to $5.00 carrier fees + $1.15 number = ≈ $116 to $117/mo, plus the A2P fees |
Scenario A is the typical solo seller. You sell a course or a coaching offer to a list of a few thousand people and email them about twice a week. ClickFunnels is $97 and that is the whole bill. GoHighLevel is $124 before a single text, AI draft or reply, and because incoming email is billed too, replies push it higher. Over a year on annual billing, that is $970 against $1,294.

Scenario B goes to GoHighLevel. Once you pass 10,000 contacts, ClickFunnels moves you to Scale at $197, while GoHighLevel’s Starter has no contact cap. At 120,000 emails, GoHighLevel comes out $19 a month cheaper.
Scenario C is GoHighLevel’s home turf. Even with the A2P campaign fee added, it costs roughly $70 to $80 a month less, and the texting is built in. On ClickFunnels you would also need a third-party tool or integration for texts, at a cost we haven’t verified.
Where GoHighLevel gets cheaper
For an email-only business on monthly billing, the cheaper tool changes twice as your volume grows:
ClickFunnels is cheaper
Launch is $97 flat. GoHighLevel is $97 plus up to $33.75 for 50,000 emails.
GoHighLevel is cheaper
ClickFunnels moves you to Scale at $197. GoHighLevel runs from about $131 to $197.
ClickFunnels is cheaper again
Scale stays at $197. GoHighLevel passes $197 at 148,148 emails ($100 ÷ $0.675 per 1,000).
GoHighLevel, up to ~148K emails
Launch caps contacts at 10,000, so ClickFunnels needs Scale. GoHighLevel has no contact cap.
Add texts, phone numbers or AI to GoHighLevel and every band shifts in ClickFunnels’ favour, unless you would have paid for a separate texting tool anyway.
How do the features compare?
Funnels and checkout
ClickFunnels gives you unlimited funnels and unlimited visitors on every plan (the pricing page tags unlimited funnels “Limited Time”). You can connect your own Stripe account: ClickFunnels’ help centre says it “does not charge extra for using Stripe”, only Stripe’s standard fees apply, and subscriptions and payment plans run through Stripe invoices. PayPal only works through Payments AI, which adds its own fees (2.9% + $0.30 base, plus 0.5% on recurring payments, per its pricing policy as of 6 October 2026).
GoHighLevel includes a website and funnel builder plus payments and invoicing on every plan, so you can sell from it too. The difference is focus: ClickFunnels is built around the sales page and the order form, GoHighLevel around the contact record.
Email, texting, booking and reviews
ClickFunnels includes email up to your plan’s caps (50,000 a month on Launch, 300,000 on Scale) and has a CRM. Calendars start on Scale: 5, then 10 on Optimize and 20 on Dominate. Its pricing page lists no SMS, calling or review management, so texting needs a third-party tool or integration.
GoHighLevel texts, calls and emails from one inbox, paying per use, and includes booking calendars, CRM pipelines and reputation management on every plan. If your follow-up happens by text, that alone can decide it.
Courses and communities
ClickFunnels caps courses and communities by plan: 3 each on Launch, 6 on Scale, 10 on Optimize, 20 on Dominate. GoHighLevel lists courses and communities among its core features on every plan. For a single flagship course, both cover you.
AI
ClickFunnels includes AI words in the price: 1 million on Launch, 2 million on Scale, 5 million on Optimize, 10 million on Dominate. GoHighLevel’s Content AI is pay-per-use at $0.0945 per 1,000 words, so the million words Launch includes would cost $94.50 there, or you take the $50-a-month AI Employee Growth plan per sub-account. If you plan to draft pages and emails with AI, see how ClickFunnels’ Build with AI works.
Is ClickFunnels good for agencies?
For a freelancer with a few clients, yes. For an agency whose business model is client accounts, no: GoHighLevel is the better tool there by a wide margin.
ClickFunnels sells workspaces, which it labels “Sub-Accounts”: 1 on Launch, 5 on Scale, 10 on Optimize and 20 on Dominate. So Scale at $197 covers a freelancer building funnels for four clients plus their own business. Past that, the Agency App creates client workspaces, up to 50 of them (archived ones don’t count), with billing managed by the agency. It requires an “Agency Plan”, which isn’t priced on the public pricing page, and we found no white-label option listed.
GoHighLevel’s Starter plan includes 3 sub-accounts for $97. Unlimited ($297) gives unlimited sub-accounts and rebills phone and email to clients at cost. Agency Pro ($497) adds SaaS mode, automated sub-account creation and rebilling with markup, so the platform itself becomes a product you sell. Its FAQ says you can white-label the desktop web app.
Free trials, refunds and cancelling: what are the terms?
Through our link, ClickFunnels gives you 14 days free with “$0 due today”. A payment method is required. The checkout defaults to Scale, which bills $197 a month after the trial. If you want Launch at $97, pick “Try the ‘Launch’ Plan instead” on the checkout. That is the single biggest billing surprise. The checkout also offers an optional $47 template pack; you don’t need it to start the trial. Some buttons on ClickFunnels’ own pricing page lead to a 7-day version, so check the day count on the checkout.
After the trial, a “30-day money back GUARANTEE” applies. Cancelling is “Cancel anytime, hassle-free”, from your dashboard or by email to support. More on how the 14-day trial and 30-day guarantee fit together.
GoHighLevel offers a 14-day free trial on any plan, and “Billing begins automatically at the end of any free trial unless canceled.” Plans are month-to-month and you can cancel at any time. But HighLevel’s Terms of Service say all fees are non-refundable, “regardless of whether you actually accessed or used” the account, and that includes communication surcharges.
So on refunds the gap is plain. ClickFunnels gives you a refund window after you’ve paid, and GoHighLevel doesn’t.

GoHighLevel
Pros:
- Booking, texting, calling, reputation management and CRM on every plan.
- Unlimited contacts and users, plus 3 sub-accounts even on Starter.
- Rebilling and SaaS mode make it a product agencies can resell.

Cons:
- Email, texts, calls and AI are metered on top of the plan price.
- A wallet that auto-charges your card whenever it drops below $10.

Frequently asked questions
Is GoHighLevel better than ClickFunnels?
It depends on your business model. GoHighLevel is better for agencies managing client accounts and for local service businesses that run on texts and bookings. ClickFunnels is better for solo sellers, coaches and course creators selling their own offers, because its $97 price includes your email.
Is ClickFunnels cheaper than GoHighLevel?
The sticker price is the same: $97 a month or $970 a year. For email-only businesses, ClickFunnels is cheaper up to 50,000 emails a month and 10,000 contacts. GoHighLevel is cheaper between about 50,000 and 148,000 emails a month, or once you pass 10,000 contacts, because ClickFunnels moves you to Scale at $197.
Can GoHighLevel replace ClickFunnels?
For basic funnels, yes. It has a website and funnel builder on every plan. What you give up is ClickFunnels' funnel-first focus and its included email allowance, since GoHighLevel bills $0.675 per 1,000 emails.
Which is better for a marketing agency?
GoHighLevel. It includes sub-accounts on every plan (3 on Starter, unlimited above that), rebilling of phone and email to clients, SaaS mode on Agency Pro, and a white-label desktop web app. ClickFunnels' Agency App needs an Agency Plan that isn't publicly priced.
Does ClickFunnels have SMS or a booking calendar?
Calendars, yes, from the Scale plan ($197) up: 5, 10 or 20 depending on the plan. The pricing page lists no SMS, calling or review-management features, so texting needs a third-party tool or integration.
Is ClickFunnels easier to use than GoHighLevel?
It does fewer things, so there is less to set up. ClickFunnels starts from the funnel and the checkout. GoHighLevel adds pipelines, phone numbers, texting registration and sub-accounts, which an agency needs and a solo seller mostly doesn't.
What does GoHighLevel charge for emails and texts?
$0.675 per 1,000 emails on all plans, with incoming email billed too. US texts cost $0.00747 per segment, outbound and inbound, plus carrier fees of $0.0035 to $0.0050 per outbound message. Checked 14 October 2026 in HighLevel's help centre.
Do both have a free trial and refunds?
Both offer 14-day free trials. ClickFunnels' trial is $0 due today through our link, and a 30-day money-back guarantee applies after it ends. GoHighLevel's trial bills automatically at the end, and its Terms of Service say all fees are non-refundable.
The bottom line
If you sell your own course, coaching or digital product, ClickFunnels costs $97 a month with email for 10,000 contacts included and a 30-day refund window after the trial. If you run an agency or a local service business that lives on texts, bookings and client accounts, pick GoHighLevel and budget for the meter. In ClickFunnels vs GoHighLevel, who you sell to matters more than any feature.
If you already know you want Scale, the 3-months-for-$99 Scale deal is live for new customers. Tempted to hold out for a bigger discount? Read whether to wait for Black Friday first. Everyone else should start with the free trial and pick Launch on the checkout.
