In Systeme.io vs GoHighLevel, course creators, coaches and digital-product sellers should pick Systeme.io. Agencies and local service businesses that run on calls, two-way texts, a sales pipeline and client accounts should pick GoHighLevel. Systeme.io costs $0, $17, $47 or $97 a month with unlimited emails on every plan. GoHighLevel starts at $97, then $297 or $497, and bills email ($0.675 per 1,000), texts, calls and AI on top from a wallet that recharges your card automatically. For a solo seller with 5,000 contacts, that is $17 a month on Systeme.io against about $124 on GoHighLevel. Prices checked 20 October 2026. We earn a commission from Systeme.io only; GoHighLevel pays us nothing, so we say plainly where it wins.

Systeme.io or GoHighLevel: which one should you pick?
Pick by how you make money. GoHighLevel does more, but the extra only pays off if your sales run through calls, texts and client accounts rather than email.
Course creators, coaches and digital-product sellers: Systeme.io. You sell your own offer to your own list. Systeme.io’s pricing FAQ maps plans to list size: Free under 2,000 contacts, Startup ($17) up to 5,000, Webinar ($47) up to 10,000 and Unlimited ($97) above that. On GoHighLevel you would pay $97 before your first email and leave the phone and agency tools idle.
Affiliate marketers and newsletter-led sellers: Systeme.io. Your business is email volume. Systeme.io includes “Unlimited emailing” on every plan, while GoHighLevel bills every 1,000 emails, sent or received. Here is how affiliate marketers use Systeme.io’s free plan.
Selling your own offer? Open a free Systeme.io account →
Freelancers building funnels for a few clients: usually Systeme.io. Every plan, Free included, allows unlimited sub-accounts, each with the same limits as your main plan. Pick GoHighLevel instead if those clients need texting with replies and a call inbox.
Agencies reselling software to many clients: GoHighLevel. Rebilling clients for phone and email usage starts on the $297 Unlimited plan, and SaaS mode, which turns the platform into a product you sell, comes with Agency Pro at $497. Systeme.io documents neither.
Local service businesses: GoHighLevel. Think dentists, contractors and salons, where a sale starts with a call or a text. GoHighLevel puts calling, two-way texting, reputation management and booking on every plan; Systeme.io’s features page lists neither calling nor review management.
Systeme.io vs GoHighLevel at a glance
Systeme.io charges a flat fee and never meters email. GoHighLevel starts higher and bundles more, then meters anything that costs it money to deliver.
Checked 20 October 2026 against both pricing pages, Systeme.io’s features page and help centre, HighLevel’s help centre, and both companies’ terms.
Systeme.io wins the rows that set a solo seller’s bill; GoHighLevel wins the ones an agency or local business runs on.
What is each platform built for?
Systeme.io: an all-in-one for selling your own offers
Systeme.io is built for one person selling their own product. Funnels, checkout, email, courses, communities, a blog, an affiliate program and a booking calendar sit in one account. Every plan includes “No transaction fees”: you connect Stripe or PayPal, and Systeme.io takes 0% of your sales. It suits a phone-and-text business poorly, since calling, WhatsApp, reputation management and AI features are not listed on its features page.
GoHighLevel: a CRM and agency operating system
GoHighLevel (the company calls itself HighLevel) is built around the contact record. Its pricing page lists these on every plan:
The asterisks are HighLevel’s own: “Usage based charges apply.” We ran the same usage maths in how GoHighLevel’s usage bill compares with ClickFunnels. A solo creator who never opens the pipelines, phone or reputation tabs would pay $97 a month and use a fraction of it.
How much do Systeme.io and GoHighLevel really cost?
Systeme.io’s price moves with your contact list. GoHighLevel’s moves with client accounts, and every plan carries a usage meter on top.
The plans side by side
Systeme.io, from its pricing page, checked 20 October 2026:
Every plan includes unlimited emailing, unlimited file storage, 0% transaction fees, an affiliate program and unlimited sub-accounts. Annual billing is labelled "2 months free"; the page shows no annual dollar amounts, so the yearly figures are our arithmetic (10 × the monthly price).
In the small print, Free allows 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign, enough to test a funnel but not to run a business. The page also contradicts itself on students (“All plans include” says unlimited, the FAQ says 500 on Free), so plan around 500. A “For teams” option has no public price. The full breakdown is in every Systeme.io plan and limit.
GoHighLevel, from HighLevel’s pricing page, checked 20 October 2026:
- Starter: $97/mo or $970/yr. 3 sub-accounts, unlimited contacts and users.
- Unlimited: $297/mo or $2,970/yr. Unlimited sub-accounts; rebill phone and email to clients with no markup.
- Agency Pro: $497/mo or $4,970/yr. SaaS mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with markup.
- Enterprise: no public price (“Speak with Our Enterprise Team”).
Several pages ranking for this comparison quote numbers that don’t match either vendor’s own pages. The four we see most often:
"Systeme.io Startup costs $27 a month"
It is $17 a month, checked 20 October 2026.
"GoHighLevel's top plan is SaaS Pro"
The $497 tier is now called Agency Pro.
"GoHighLevel email costs $0.01 per email"
It is $0.675 per 1,000, or $0.000675 per email.
"GoHighLevel has a 15-day or 30-day trial"
The official trial is 14 days, on any plan.
What GoHighLevel’s $97 doesn’t cover
HighLevel’s help centre lists these usage charges on top of any plan (checked 20 October 2026):
- Email: $0.675 per 1,000, incoming and outgoing (To, CC and BCC). Verification is $2.50 per 1,000.
- US texts: $0.00747 per segment, outbound and inbound, plus a carrier fee of $0.0035 to $0.0050 per outbound message.
- Numbers and calls: $1.15 a month for a local number, $2.15 toll-free; $0.0166 a minute outbound, $0.01165 inbound.
- US texting registration (A2P 10DLC): $22.50 one-time, plus a campaign fee of up to $2.10 a month for sole proprietors or $1.50 to $10.50 on Low Volume.
- AI: Content AI at $0.0945 per 1,000 words and $0.063 per image, or AI Employee at $50 or $97 a month per sub-account.
- Premium workflow actions: 100 free per sub-account for life, then $0.01 each.
The bill at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 contacts
No page ranking for “systeme io vs gohighlevel” turns GoHighLevel’s rates into a monthly bill, so we did. The assumptions: a solo course or digital-product seller sending 8 emails per contact per month (about two a week), outbound only, with no texts, AI or premium workflow actions, processor fees left out, and the Systeme.io plan picked by its own list-size guidance. The figures are illustrative, not quotes.
| Contacts | Emails a month | Systeme.io | GoHighLevel Starter | Monthly gap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | 8,000 | Free: $0 (Startup $17 if a Free cap bites) | $97 + $5.40 = $102.40 | $85 to $102 |
| 5,000 | 40,000 | Startup: $17 | $97 + $27.00 = $124.00 | $107 |
| 10,000 | 80,000 | Webinar: $47 | $97 + $54.00 = $151.00 | $104 |
| 25,000 | 200,000 | Unlimited: $97 | $97 + $135.00 = $232.00 | $135 |
Depending on list size, Systeme.io comes in $85 to $135 a month cheaper for the same email-only business. GoHighLevel’s figure is also a floor: incoming replies are billed too, so a list that writes back costs more.
Over a year, on monthly billing, Systeme.io costs $0, $204 and $564 at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 contacts, against $1,228.80, $1,488 and $1,812 on GoHighLevel. On annual billing it is $0, about $170 and about $470, against $1,034.80, $1,294 and $1,618. At 5,000 contacts on annual billing, the gap is $1,124 in year one. If ClickFunnels is also on your list, ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io runs the same test.
One caveat: Webinar caps contacts at exactly 10,000. Add one more and Systeme.io’s terms give you 3 days to cut back before upgrading you to Unlimited at $97, which is still $54 a month under GoHighLevel’s $151.
Is GoHighLevel ever cheaper?
Not on an email-only bill. GoHighLevel Starter and Systeme.io Unlimited both cost $97, but GoHighLevel adds $0.675 for every 1,000 emails, while Systeme.io’s emailing and contacts are unlimited at that price. So GoHighLevel Starter never costs less than Systeme.io’s top plan.
GoHighLevel earns its price in two cases: its bundle replaces a calling tool, a two-way texting inbox, a review tool and a CRM you would otherwise buy, or you rebill clients for usage so the meter is their cost. If neither fits, you are paying for tools you won’t use.

How do the features compare?
Funnels, checkout and payments
Systeme.io caps funnels by plan (3, 10, 50, then unlimited) and charges 0% transaction fees through Stripe or PayPal. GoHighLevel includes a website and funnel builder, Funnel AI, and payments and invoicing on every plan. For a sales page and an order form, either will do.
This is the line that decides the bill. Systeme.io’s emailing is unlimited on every plan; what changes between plans is your contact allowance, plus Free’s limit of 1 automation rule and 1 email campaign. GoHighLevel meters every email at $0.675 per 1,000, incoming included, and sells a dedicated sending IP for $59 a month. Our full Systeme.io review covers the email tools in more depth.

Texting and calling
Most comparison pages say Systeme.io has no SMS. It does, on a different model: you connect your own Twilio account, and texts go out through a “Send SMS” action in automation rules and workflows. Systeme.io’s SMS page says the feature is “included in systeme.io at no extra charge” and that it does “not mark up or add fees on top of Twilio’s rates”, on every plan including Free. Messages run up to 1,600 characters.
Systeme.io’s help centre describes outbound texts sent from automations, and we found no shared inbox for replies. Calling isn’t on its features page either. GoHighLevel has native two-way texting and calls in one inbox, plus WhatsApp as a $10-a-month add-on per sub-account.
The texts themselves cost about the same. For 1,000 single-segment US texts a month from one local number:
- GoHighLevel: $7.47 in texts, $3.50 to $5.00 in carrier fees and $1.15 for the number, so about $12.12 to $13.62 a month, plus an A2P campaign fee of $1.50 to $10.50 a month and $22.50 one-time.
- Systeme.io through Twilio: $8.30 in texts plus the same carrier fees and $1.15 number, so about $12.95 to $14.45 a month, plus Twilio’s US registration fees.
Systeme.io’s SMS page quotes Twilio at about $0.0079 per message, but Twilio’s own US pricing page says $0.0083 per segment, so we used Twilio’s figure. The bills land within a dollar of each other, so what separates the two is GoHighLevel’s two-way inbox and calling.
CRM, pipelines and booking
Both list CRM pipelines and booking calendars. Systeme.io’s features page describes Kanban-style deal stages with automated follow-ups, and a booking calendar that “works like Calendly, but built in”, taking payments or deposits at booking. GoHighLevel adds custom dashboards, reputation management, a prospecting tool, an ad manager and social media management on every plan.
Courses and communities
Both include courses and communities on every plan. Systeme.io caps courses by plan (1, 5, 20, then unlimited), and its help centre describes per-module quizzes that unlock once the module’s lessons are done. If courses are the centre of your business, Systeme.io vs Kajabi for course creators goes deeper.
Does Systeme.io have sub-accounts and white label like GoHighLevel?
Yes, in lighter versions. At least four pages ranking for this search say Systeme.io lacks some or all of sub-accounts, SMS and white label. Systeme.io’s pricing page and its help centre articles (last updated May and October 2026) say otherwise on all three.
Sub-accounts. The pricing page says “every plan allows you to create unlimited sub-accounts”, and the help centre adds “even with a free plan”, each with “the same resource limits as your main account”. Selling them below Systeme.io’s official prices, or as lifetime deals, is “considered a violation”.
White label. Under Systeme.io’s reseller programme you keep “100% of the revenue you generate from your white-label sales”, with no revenue share or transaction fees. You set your own prices but “cannot sell these plans for less than systeme.io’s official pricing”. Branding covers the logo, colours, login pages, transactional emails and sender name on a custom domain. On the Free plan, resellers can only offer free white-label accounts.
What Systeme.io doesn’t document is rebilling clients for usage, or anything like a SaaS mode. The sub-account help article doesn’t mention billing at all.
GoHighLevel goes deeper. Its sub-account cap lifts at $297, where usage rebilling at cost starts, and $497 adds markup and SaaS mode. Its FAQ says you can white-label the desktop web app; a white-label mobile app is a $497-a-month add-on.
Free plan, trials, refunds and switching: what are the terms?
Neither vendor refunds, so the real safety net is how you start.
Systeme.io has no paid-plan trial. It has a Free plan that “never expires and does not require a credit card”, with no upsells on the signup itself. Before you upgrade, know these terms:
- Paid plans are “not refundable” (Terms, Article 3).
- Go over a paid plan’s limits and you get 3 days to cut back, then you are “automatically upgraded to the appropriate plan” for the rest of the period (Article 5).
- Free accounts are limited to USD 10,000 in lifetime sales, affiliate commissions excluded. Past that, you have 3 days to upgrade before your payment pages stop taking new sales (Article 5a).
- Cancel a paid plan and you keep it until the next billing date, then drop back to Free.
To test the Free plan on something real, here is how to build a $0 funnel on the free plan.
GoHighLevel offers a 14-day free trial on any plan. “Billing begins automatically at the end of any free trial unless canceled”, and usage fees “may apply during the trial”. After that it is month-to-month, cancellable from your dashboard, but all fees are non-refundable, including “partially used or unused” subscriptions.
Switching from GoHighLevel. Systeme.io’s free migration comes only with its Unlimited monthly plan or an annual plan, and its migration page names ClickFunnels, Kajabi, Teachable, Kartra, Podia, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Keap and WordPress/WooCommerce. GoHighLevel isn’t on that list, so don’t count on a free move; ask Systeme.io’s support team before you buy a plan for it. Payment history stays with your processor either way, and Systeme.io puts moves at 2 to 5 business days, or 1 to 2 weeks for larger ones.
Systeme.io vs GoHighLevel pros and cons
Everything below comes from the plans, rates and terms covered above, starting with Systeme.io.
Systeme.io
Pros:
- A Free plan that never expires and needs no card.
- Unlimited emailing on every plan, so the bill only moves with your contact count.
- 0% transaction fees, unlimited sub-accounts and a white-label programme.
Cons:
- Free is tight: 1 automation rule, 1 email campaign, and 500 students per the FAQ.
- No calling or reputation management listed, and no reply inbox for texts that we could find.
- Paid plans are non-refundable, and going over a limit auto-upgrades you after 3 days.
GoHighLevel
Pros:
- Calling, two-way texting, reputation management, pipelines and booking on every plan.
- Rebilling and SaaS mode turn it into a product an agency can resell.
- Month-to-month, cancel any time from the dashboard.
Cons:
- $97 a month before you send anything, then email, texts, calls and AI on a meter.
- A wallet that charges your card whenever it drops below $10, and fees that are non-refundable.
- Far more to set up than a solo seller needs.
If you sell your own offer, most of GoHighLevel’s pros are tools you won’t open, and its metered email still lands on your bill.

Does Systeme.io have sub-accounts and white label?
Yes. Every plan, Free included, allows unlimited sub-accounts, and the white-label reseller programme lets you keep 100% of revenue if you don't undercut Systeme.io's prices. It doesn't document usage rebilling or a SaaS mode.
Can Systeme.io send SMS?

Which is better for a marketing agency?
GoHighLevel, for usage rebilling ($297 and up), SaaS mode ($497) and calling. Systeme.io suits a freelancer with a few clients.
Do they offer refunds or a free trial?
Neither refunds. Systeme.io has a Free plan with no time limit and no card instead of a paid-plan trial. GoHighLevel has a 14-day trial that bills automatically when it ends.
What do Reddit users say about Systeme.io vs GoHighLevel?
We searched on 20 October 2026 and found no head-to-head Reddit threads. Most pages ranking for this search are written by GoHighLevel resellers, so compare the numbers yourself: $0 to $97 flat against $97 plus usage.
The bottom line
The choice comes down to where your sales happen. If you sell your own course, coaching or digital product by email, Systeme.io costs $0 to $97 a month with unlimited email, about $107 a month less than GoHighLevel at 5,000 contacts. If you run an agency that rebills clients, or a local business that lives on calls, texts and reviews, pick GoHighLevel and budget for the meter.
